The Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hilderbrand

Morning Readers & Happy Thursday!
So I am a transplant, West Coast girl turned East Valley when my mom (who worked in the military) got transferred. It was a big shift for 10-year old me, and I missed the coast so much. I never knew though, that you could feel that same home-bound nostalgia for somewhere you’ve never been. I’ve wanted to visit Nantucket for ages and this book hands-down cemented it.
It read a bit like a sales pitch at first, while Hilderbrand sets the stage and immerses us in our main set, Hotel Nantucket; however, I loove how each character not only had their own backstory but developed over the course of the book. There was no need for clean & tidy endings, and some stories you could feel would have their own ending off-page.
This was a super cute, easy read perfect for your commute, bedtime routine, at the beach or along the poolside. I finished it in two (and a half) days and would absolutely pick this up again as a travel gift for a girl friend. Pro-tip, I snagged both of my hardcover copies at Homesense for $9.99.
With that said, maybe I’ll see you one day on the beaches of Nantucket, immersed in Elin Hilderbrand’s next novel!
Happy Reading!
