Morning Readers & Happy Monday!

So this is a bit of a series review and I have to say, I’m hooked. The whole plot is a bit Divergent with a mix of Eragon. The characters are set in a school that places them in ‘sects’, training them to be dragon riders in preparation to defend the Continent. Riders bond to their dragons, and develop magical skillsets in doing so.

It was such a fresh plot line, I was instantly drawn in. Especially when I learned that the symptoms experienced by the main character, often seen as her character ‘flaws’, closely mirror Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), a condition the author herself struggles with,

The first book served as a great ‘first bite’, the kind that sets the table, leaving you wanting more.

Now the second book…I’m going to sound like a bit of a prude, because I know that it’s really personal preference here, but I found there were just more intimate scenes than was really warranted by the plot line. I eventually ended up skipping over a few sections, it felt like there were just so many, but it’s literally my only complaint.

This third book though really brought it home and tied everything together so well. There was great character development and that ending leaves you literally flabbergasted. That’s the only word I got for yea, I guess you’ll have to read it! ;)

I hope you all have a great week & Happy Reading!
