Morning Readers, Happy Friday & Welcome to my very first Monthly Review!
I figure if you’re like me you might not read every book review. It’s great when you’re contemplating a single book, but if you’re looking for a few quick suggestions, this thread’s for you! These are the books I read this month and a quick round up of what I thought! Starting with my favorite this month:
Anita de Monte Laughs Last by Xochitl Gonzalez
Shelf Worthy- 4/5 Stars
I literally had to double check and google if this was based on a true story. The storyline, the characters, the narration… all of it was perfectly on point. I don’t think it quite a life changing favorite but I have never read anything like it.

The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins
Shelf Worthy- 4/5 Stars
Awesome perspective and life advice offered by podcaster Mel Robbins and supported by interviews with industry professionals and science based research. If you or someone you know is going through a hard time, or just want a new perspective this is a great choice!
Kindle & Audible: US or CA
The Fortune Hunter by Daisy Woodwin
Kindle Worthy- 3/5 Stars
A cute weekend book that reads somewhere in the vicinity of morally ambiguous Jane Austen. Regency heiress meets officer & equestrian Bay Middleton who just so happens to be employed by an Austrian Empress. Easy read, loosely inspired by real people.
Kindle & Audible: US or CA
Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarrows
Kindle Worthy- 3/5 Stars
A mix of ‘Divergent’ and Eragon, this is the third and (in my opinion) best book of the series so far! This book really tied the series together and brought it home! I’m excited for the next one!
