Morning Readers & Happy Thursday!

I’ve committed to a ‘spa day’ at home and an afternoon spent in the tub today so I’m going to jump straight into this one, which I’m excited to share because it might just be one of my favorite series for the year!

Oraya, a human raised by the vampire king, enters a deadly divine tournament to claim her place in a world that would see her destroyed. To survive, she must trust Raihn—a ruthless, alluring vampire who might be her greatest threat or her only chance.

So I actually pick up this book not realizing it was part of a series… and now I’m hooked and committed to the full series! The world-building is immersive and beautifully detailed, with characters that are well fleshed out and grow in a way that feels genuine.

My only critique might be that the Human vs Vampire ability did seem a little inflated at times, as in a human is taking multiple vampires who are ‘indestructible’ otherwise.

Some of my favorite Quotes:

The ending… what a twist, and quite honestly it still haunts me. It did feel like some details were just thrown in at the end (‘surprise!’), but did make sense in the grand scheme of things.

Needless to say I will absolutely be working my way through the rest of the series over the winter months and can’t wait to pick up the next!

I hope you all are having a great season easing into the winter months, this girls going to go jump into the hottest bath I can muster!
Happy Reading!
