Morning Readers & Happy Wednesday!

Gosh, I actually almost feel bad on this one because the Isle in the Silver Sea honestly had so much potential!

In an alternate Britain where fairy tales bind reality, Vina, a knight of the Queen’s court, and Simran, a witch of the woods, find themselves cast as the latest incarnations of the tragic “Knight and the Witch” myth. They are doomed to fall for each other only to repeat the same tragic ending over countless lifetimes. Refusing to accept their fate, they embark on a desperate quest to break the cycle and write a new ending for themselves, even as a mysterious assassin begins targeting others bound to their tales and the very land itself begins to unravel.

I loved the premise of this book, the idea of stories creating and influencing reality as reincarnates live our their destinies was such a unique idea. However, I’m not sure if it was the narration, one-dimensional characters or the pacing but this one nearly became my first DNF (I told myself if I could finish Evenings & Weekends & All the Colors of the Dark, I could finish this one too). It’s especially disappointing because as an ARC I was really rooting for it.

How is your reading week going so far?
