I finally managed to get through a couple of my ARC’s this week (Advanced Reading Copies) and I got the chance to listen to and review the The Witch of Willow Sound by Vanessa Penney.
Fade is summoned back to Willow Sound, a remote patch of forest in Nova Scotia, she sets out to find her estranged Aunt Madeline, long rumored in the nearby village of Grand Tea to be a witch. As Fade digs into Madeline’s disappearance, she runs up against local superstition, an approaching hurricane and a murder mystery!
Disclaimer: I’ve gone and rated this book as a Teen read as it was a cute story, however I think I was outside of its demographic. However, if you have an up and coming tween or young teen I think this could be a great gift option, it gives slightly darkened Nancy Drew vibes.
A big thing that first drew me in, I can’t get over though is the cover artwork, I could literally have a print of this hanging on my wall!
